Being an artist defines my life. Even if I'm not working, I view my reality, or some might say unreality, with an aesthetic eye. I create representational work using acrylic or oils that are sometimes embellished with pastels and pencils.
Found objects, which I have collected for years, are often employed to add dimension or personality to my work and add to the story I am trying to tell. This artistic form of recycling enriches the art visually, as well as contributing another dimension derived from the inherent history of the relics.
In my art, I strive for a textured, sensual quality that conveys the visual beauty and personality of an emotion or a subject. I try to paint what I cannot say.
